Biography

Oman Sidney Coldwell was born about 1852 in Nova Scotia, Canada, the son of James H. Coldwell.

In 1861, James Coldwell lived in Gaspereau District, King's, Nova Scotia, Canada. There were 2 males and 3 females in the family.[1]

In 1871, James H. Coldwell, a farmer, lived in Gaspereau District, with his wife Zylpha and five children.[2]

"Orman" S. Coldwell, a 27 year old bachelor farmer, and Eliza Amanda Davison, a 23 year old spinster, were married on 6 Jan 1879 In Horton, Kings, Nova Scotia, in a Baptist ceremony. He was born in Horton, the son of James and Zilpha Coldwell. Eliza was also born in Horton, the daughter of Silas and Mary Davison.[3]

In 1881, James Coldwell, a 52 year old farmer, lived with his wife Margaret, a weaver, and 6 children in Gaspereau District.[4]

Eliza was a widow when she died on 27 Oct 1948 in Davidson Street, Kings County. She is shown as the widow of Omen Coldwell.[5]
