When Reuben Butts Cole was born on December 12, 1762, in Swansea, Massachusetts, his father, Isaac, was 36 and his mother, Sarah, was 35. He had six brothers and two sisters. He married Mary and apperently had a son and a daughter with her but neither lived. He died on November 15, 1794, in Habana, Ciego de Avila, Cuba, at the age of 31, and was buried in Warren, Rhode Island. Note, Reuben was a sea captain and was a Revolutionary soldier.
