Biography

Timothy Cole was the son of Timothy Cole and Ruth Smith of Eastham, Barnstable, Massachusetts.

On 2 Nov 1709, Timothy married Apphia Pepper,[1] daughter of Isaac Pepper and Apphia Freeman[2], and their children included:

  1. "Doritha Cole the daughter of Timothy and Apphya Cole was born at Eastham the 22nd day of September anno dom 1710" and "Doritha Cole the daughter of Timothy Cole above so dyed the eighth day of Febuary anno 1710/11"[2]

Apphia (Pepper) Cole died April 6, 1718.[2]

Timothy remarried to Elizabeth Sparrow on 4 May, 1721[3] [4] and had one son

  1. "Timothy Cole the Son of Timothy and Elisabeth Cole was born at Eastham on ye twentyseventh day of August annodom 1722"[3][4] (Son Timothy's death was recorded as 4 May 1722. The entire family record was entered at one time – this is probably an entry error. This entry follows Elizabeth's death, and suggests that son Timothy's death was probably 27 Aug 1723. It's not expected that there would be other documentation to verify this unless church records are located.)

"Elizabeth Cole the wife of Timothy Cole dyed on the thirtifirst day of August annodom : 1722"[3][4] (4 days after the birth of her son.)

Timothy then married Martha Almony on 4 Sep 1723.[3][4] Their children included:
