Biography

Stephen was born in 1736 in Chester Co., Pennsylvania to James Cole, Sr. and Susannah Rentfroe..[1] He wed Eleanor Bounds in 1760 in Lunenburg County, Virginia.[1] Four children are listed in the genealogy previously referenced:

William Temple Cole, b. Nov 17, 1768, NC; d. July 20, 1810, Audrain, MO.
Rhoda Cole, b. 1770; d. 1820, Cooper Co., MO
Stephen Cole, b.1772, Pittsylvania Co., VA; d. 1824, New Mexico.
Margaret Majer Cole, b.1774; d. 1847, Cooper County, MO.

Stephen reportedly died in the year 1800 in Montgomery County, VA.
