Biography

Hannah Cole was a daughter of Susannah (Briggs) and John Cole (1660-1748), of Swansea, Massachusetts. Her birth date probably was 4 February, however the year is uncertain, perhaps 1693 ^[1] or 1697/98 ^[2].

Hannah married about 13 December 1722 at Swansea, Bristol County, Massachusetts, Gideon Hammond ^[3].

There were several children of this family, few of whom are adequately documented:

• Amos Hammond ( - 20 Oct 1813 ^[4]); married Mehitable Horton
• Hezekiah Hammond, b. 22 May 1731 ^[5]
