This is not the same (born 1757) Leander Cole as the one that died in Ontario in 1893. Leander Cole showed up in Brockville alone at the age of 13 and claimed he was from Pennsylvania. Some say he was born in Little Falls, NY but I have not been able to find proof. He is my 3rd great grandfather. I have a hand written story of how he just showed up in Ontario.

Annie - It would be nice to see posted that hand written story, especially if it refers to his arrival from Pennsylvania. We could look for family name of Kool or similar?
