Thomas Delorum Cole was born in South Carolina to Daniel Cole and Mary DuBose Cole. He moved with his family to Coffee County, Alabama in the mid 1800, amassing a good deal of land.
He married Elizabeth Horn, daughter of Joab Horn, a Revolutionary War Patriot. He served a a PVT in the 42 ALabama Militia Indian Wars.
There were five children born to this union:

Caroline Almira Cole (James Thomas Dunford)
Nancy Elizabeth Cole (Married Christopher H. Kyser)
Sarah Cole (Married Mason Creed Kimmey)
He died, at the age of , on April 24, 1865 in Coffee County, Alabama. He is buried, along with his wife in a private cemetery on what was his land.[1]
