Biography

Charles Cole was married to Clara E Blinko in Barnet in 1887. ^[1]

in 1901, Charles Cole (42, a fruit salesman born in Potters Bar, Hertfordshire) and his wife, Clara E (40) were living in Camden Town with their children, Charles T (12), Ivy G S (11) and Violet I (6). Clara's married sister, Mabel S Woods (29, married) and one child, Gladys M S Woods (2) were boarding with them. ^[2]

In 1911, Charles Cole (53, a wholesale fruit commission salesman) says he was born in South Mimms, Hertfordshire. He had been married 24 years and had three children, all still living. His wife, Clara (50) has been recorded with the middle initial H - but she was actually baptised Clara Ellen, not Helen. The children, Charles T (21, a medical student), Ivy G S (20) and V Irene (16), were still living with their parents at 332 Camden Road Islington N, Islington, London. They had one servant, 19 year old Ethel Forby. ^[3]
