Research Notes

  1. The children noted in the bio are from member trees on Ancestry.com and FamilySearch.com and couldn't find any links to them on Findagrave.com.

The following are from the creation of this profile.

  • iv JOHN, b. say 1637; m. by 1668 Mary Cole, daughter of JAMES COLE of Plymouth [PCLR 3:326; GMB 1:423; Austin 238]. As this couple had no children, the estimate of marriage date derives from their appearance in a deed of 1668. Mary Cole's date of birth was estimated as 1632, and the marriage may well have taken place some years earlier, so John's date of birth is estimated to fit into a convenient gap in the list of children of the immigrant. Both these estimated dates of birth may be off by some years.[1]

According to Great Migration, this profile, Cole-665 (daut of James Cole & Mary Tibbes Cole, wife of Almy and Pococke) was born about 1632.

Since the family migrated in 1633, I believe Mary's birth would be 1632, England, not Massachusetts.

Cole-4753 and Cole-665 appear to represent the same person because: The father of both are the same and they have the same spouse. There is still work to be done but merging will make it less confusing.

This profile was originally Mary Cole Frost and has been edited to become a different person. I would like to suggest that it be merged and the items that belong to Mary Cole that married these men be moved to profile Cole-4753 I am willing to do the work.
