Biography

William was born about 1844. He was the son of Josiah Cole. He passed away in 1864.

William F. Cole served in Company D, 17th Regiment Texas Cavalry, CSA. He captured at Battle of Fort Hindman, Arkansas, on 11 January, 1863, and later paroled. He returned to his regiment and became a casualty of war. He is buried in the Confederate Section of the Oakland Cemetery in Atlanta, Georgia.
