I think the only evidence I have is from Hoyt (referenced in John Cole's profile) which refers to a deed by Robert Pike to "my under John Cole, of S., decd." From this, Hoyt concluded that Sara Saunders was John Cole's niece and her mother was John Cole's sister.
Both Hoyt and the Early New England Families article say that Sara Saunders was incorrectly listed as John Saunder's wife on the Confidence passenger list and that she was his sister. I'm not sure why they concluded that.
I don't think I was able to check the source the author of the Early New England Families article referenced and I recall being troubled by the Cole/Coles thing, as I got the impression that there were distinct Cole and Coles families in that area of Wiltshire at the time.
What evidence do you have that the parents of John Saunder's wife were not John and Alice?
There is no evidence connecting the 1591 Gloucester bpt record to the Alice Coles who married John Saunders in Wiltshire. I think that is speculative nonsense.
I also see no reason for her to be connected to Thomas Cole of Northampton or any other Thomas Cole.
What source ties the daughter of Thomas with the wife of John Saunders?
Also, since her "parents" didn't marry until late in 1593, the birth date shown in the bio doesn't appear accurate. If she married Saunders in 1610, her birth year must have been much closer to 1592 than 1605 which is shown in the data field.
Coles-50 and Cole-8157 appear to represent the same person because: Some discrepancy in date and place of death, but otherwise all other information matches.
For Sarah Saunder's parentage, I relied on https://www.americanancestors.org/databases/early-new-england-families-1641-1700/image?volumeId=54088&pageName=1&rId=0 which says that her parents were John and Alice (Coles) Sanders.
