DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Mary by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Mary:
Stephens-Stevens-1 and Coleman-3068 appear to represent the same person because: I've seen the Mary Coleman floating around on Ancestry for a while, but only ever in unsourced profiles capped off with Ancestry Member Trees links. The Coleman-3068 profile is a crusty GEDCOM import from 2013. Both of the original children have been disconnected from Coleman-3068 and reconnected to Stephens-Stevens-1. Same husband profile ID. Same DOB and place. Same DOD (one is typo'd by exact 20 years, and FindAGrave has a photo of the contemporary stone backing up the later date).
I have completed the outstanding merge, however please change the "Last Name at Birth" to be either "Stevens" or "Stephens", not hyphenated, as this would never have been the case in 1700s. I suggest you use the "Other Last Name" field to include the alternate spelling. If you can't locate a source indicating spelling recorded at birth/baptism, probably best to use spelling of father.
While Mary here happens to be my 6th great grandmother, I'm unfortunately not a profile manager for her. We'll have to wait for @Bruce or @Jennifer to do that.
I've set a reminder for 30 days from now in case they're inactive/not receiving these notifications.
