Biography

Calvin Franklin Coleman was born in Hancock County, TN in 1857. By the 1880s he was living in Texas, along with others in his family.

By 1886 he married Eleanor Viola Archibald ( possibly a daughter of his father's second wife, Julia Archibald?). They lived in Texas where they raised a family of 5, including Lula Elilzabeth ( m. Worth Henderson), Eunice ( m. Charles H. van Fleet), Clyde Calvin ( m. Jennie Yancie), William Charlie ( m. Martha Ann Quinn) and John Archibald Coleman ( m. Ruby Mae Feemster).

Calvin Franklin signed the death certificate when his father died in 1910. Cal himself passed away in 1936. He was laid to rest in Grapevine, along with many other family members.
