Biography

John Thomas Coleman was born about 1832 in Blackrock, County Louth, Ireland, son of Bryan Bernard Coleman (<1791–1837) and Alice Brennan (~1795–~1860).

John married Anna Dolores Cassidy (born about October 1, 1836 in Pennsylvania; daughter of Thomas Cassidy and Ela (Kearney) Cassidy). Their children were:

John died about April 21, 1895 in Tuscarora, Schuylkill Township, Schuylkill, Pennsylvania, United States, aged about 62.

Lease of John Carroll, Dundalk, chandler and Terence Coleman, late of Dundalk, tanner, but now of Ballybarrack, farmer, of the first part and Thomas Coleman, Dundalk, tanner of the other part in respect of tan yard in the upper ward, formerly in possession of Patrick Murtagh and late, in possession of said Terence Coleman. Carroll and Coleman grant the said premises for the lives of Thomas Coleman, John Coleman son of Bernard Coleman, Newry, chandler, aged about 10 years and of Catherine, sister of John Coleman, aged about 9 years, perpetual renewal. The grant cites the following deeds: lease of 01 November 1805, Stephen Page Dundalk, demised to Carroll and Coleman the tan yard and houses within said yard in the upper ward, rent £16.
