Biography
Robert Coleman was born on 20 Oct 1788 in Pennsylvania, United States, son of Nicholas Coleman (1731–1818) and Jane McClelland (~1754–~1829).[1]
Robert died on 27 Apr 1864 in Young Township, Indiana, Pennsylvania, United States, aged 75. He was buried in Olivet Cemetery, South Bend, Armstrong County, Pennsylvania.[1]
Robert married Elizabeth McLain (born about 1793; daughter of John McLean and Rachel (Matthews) McLean) on 11 Nov 1813 in Indiana Co., PA. Their known children were:

- William Alexander Coleman (1828–1902)
