Biography

Henry was born approximately 1520 at Castle Carbury, Co. Kildare, Ireland the son of Walter Colley (Cowley) and his wife Ann

1574 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant of King's County.
1576 Knighted on St George's Day at Christ Church in Dublin by Sir Henry Sydney, Lord Deputy of Ireland. [1]
He was invested as a Privy Counsellor Ireland.
He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the English forces in Ireland.
He held the office of Steward for King's County.
He held the office of Seneschal for King's County.
He held the office of Constable of the Fort of Philipstown (now Daingean)


He m1. unkown with Issue and then m2. Catherine Cussack (1540 - 1597) of Cussington (Cushinstown), Meath dau of Sir Thomas Cusack, Lord Deputy of Ireland.

Henry died 1584 at Castle Carbury.
