He was the 6 X great-grandfather to Queen Elizabeth II.
Henry was the son of Dudley Colley and Anne Warren.
He represented County Kildare in the Irish Parliament from 1698 to 1699. His father Dudley Colley, and his sons by wife Mary Usher Henry Colley and Richard Wesley, 1st Baron Mornington were also MPs.
He was the great-grandfather of Arthur Wellesley, 1st Duke of Wellington.
In 1705 Henry Colley erected a monument to his father Dudley which said that "Henry Colley, now living, son of Dudley Colley, married Mary Ussher, and had issue by her six sons and six daughters; whereof two sons , Henry and Richard, and six daughters, are now living. She was the only daughter of Sir William Ussher of Bridgefoot, Knt. by his Lady Ursula St. Barb, and lyeth here interred".[1]
Henry married firstly in 1674 to Mary Ussher only daughter of Sir William Ussher and his wife Ursula St Barb.
He married secondly August 1694 to Sarah Boswell. Her will of 7th May 1715 was registered on 3rd March 1718.[2]
His will was written on 18th June 1719 and proved on 27th July 1719.[3][4] In it he names:
Garret Wesley and William Pole were his executors.
