James, son of James Collie and Ann Cornwell, was born before 29 September 1763, the date of his baptism in Overwharton Parish, Stafford County, Virginia. He died about 1835 in Pittsylvania County, Virginia.

James Collie and Nancy Jennings registered their marriage bonds and were married in Pittsylvania, Virginia on 12 June 1801. Virginia, Marriages, 1785-1940.
