My mother, Gladys Collins Mitchell, was born to John Arthur and Mary Ann "Mollie" Frost Collins in Gadsden, Alabama. She had five brothers and one sisters. Two of her brothers, Thomas and Horace died in infancy. Her other brothers were Chester Hardy "Dick" Collins, Ernest Lee "Bull" Collins, James Arthur "Bud" Collins and her sister was Myrtle Texas Collins. All are deceased. My mother worked at Dwight Cotton Mill for many years and then was a homemaker. She was a prolific reader and teller of family stories.
