John Patrick William Collins was recorded in a Canadian CEF Attestation record dated 8 August 1916 which gives his date of birth as 8 March 1871 and says he is a widower. [5]
Further documents state that he was discharged on 29 June 1919 with an address of 2493 Waverley Street, Montreal, and his sister and next-of-kin's address of 233 Winsover Road, Spalding. Lincs.[6]
