Amanda Jane Collins, daughter of Davis Collins and Martha Jackson, was born on 8 May 1854 at Talking Rock, Pickens County, Georgia, USA.[1] She appeared on the census of 18 June 1860 in the home of her parents at Talking Rock, Pickens County, Georgia.[2] She appeared on the census of 17 July 1870 in the home of her parents at Blount County, Alabama.[3]
She married Gilbert Pinkney Shelton on 31 May 1878 at Blount County, Alabama.[4]
Amanda died on 19 July 1943 at Paris, Lamar County, Texas, and was buried at Plot: 13-03-01, Evergreen Cemetery, Paris, Lamar County, Texas.[1] Her memorial has a photo of her headstone shared with Gilbert and links to those of family members.[5]
