Dyer Sikes and Tempie Collins Marriage certificate
In 1870, Dyer C. Sikes appears on the Tattnall County census[6], with his wife listed as Penelope (NOTE: Could this be a mishearing on the part of the census taker of the name 'Tempie'? Additionally, there is no Amanda Sikes listed, she would have been about three, a Mitchell instead of Mike/Michael and a Perry, one-year-old, as well as Daniel Sikes, Dyer's brother, which leads me to believe this is the correct Dyer Sikes, with transcription errors.
