Biography
Samuel Collins was born in 1757 in Southborough, Massachusetts. [1]
Lydia Matthews and Samuel Collins were married in New Braintree, Massachusetts on 12 Oct 1783. [2]
He passed away in 1831 [3] and is buried in Marlborough, New Hampshire. [4]
The 1881 History of Marlborough [5] states: "Samuel Collins, son of Lieut. Joseph, m. Lydia Matthews; he resided for some time on the Joslin place, which he sold to William Lincoln in 1792; after which he settled on the farm lately owned by Henry T. Wiswall, where he d. in 1831. His widow d. Jan. 7, 1851." Same reference says he was born in Southborough, Feb 11, 1757.
