Biography

William "Billy" Collum, son of William and Dicey Collum, was born about 1806 in South Carolina, USA.

He married Margaret Dovie "Peggy" Comer, daughter of Martin and Nancy (Cost) Comer,

He was a farmer when he and Margaret appeared on the census of 5 Dec. 1850 at Shelby County, Alabama.[1]

William died on 9 Jan. 1881 probably in Chilton County, Alabama and was buried at Shiloh-Busby Cemetery, Chilton County, Alabama. His memorial has a photo of his headstone and links to those of family members.[2]
