Rueben was born in 1804. He was the son of Jacob Compton and Orriminah Hyde. He passed away in 1861.[1]

Bathsheba Laboyteaux and members of his family living in 1881 were: Andrew Jackson, Alexander, Chrystaline, Enr'line, Eliza, Cornelia and Oliver. Oliver was b. in 1826, md. 1854 Elizabeth Voorhoes of Warren Co. O. and had three children, viz.: Flora Ellen, Laura Frances and Alfred R. and active members of Christian Church in 1881."" Compton-1860 and Compton-2812 appear to represent the same person because: I descend from Abraham Compton, older brother of Ruben Stout Compton. I believe these two entries for Ruben Compton and Ruben S. Compton are for the same person and should be merged. I can provide more information if either of you wish.
