Biography
James Compton was born on 10 Oct 1764 in Woodbridge, New Jersey, United States to parents Jacob Compton and Sara Ross.
He married firstly Margaret Martin Fitz Randolph about 1791 in New Jersey.[1]
Children: Susan and Rachel, twins; James, Randolph.
In 1793 he was living in Woodbridge, Middlesex, New Jersey.[2]
He married secondly Elizabeth Stivers on 31 May 1797 in Middlesex, New Jersey.[3]
He died on 3 Feb 1838 in Lewiston, Niagara, New York.[4]
