Biography
Andrew was the son of Mary Martha Whiting and Andrew John Compton. He married in 1904 to Ida Barlow at St Peters Anglican Church, Wellington. They had 4 children during their marriage, Arlene Betty, Andrew Barlow (registered as Andrew Neil), Desmond Graham and Margaret Joan. By 1914, the family had settled in Auckland. Andrew was employed as a wood machinist. He died in 1955 age 78 at Mt Eden Hospital. NO BURIAL. Ida passed away 6 years later in 1961.
