↑ Shawnee Heritage By Don Greene, Noel Schutz, 2008, available at lulu.com. This book contains thousands of names of supposedly, but undocumented historical Shawnee figures both great and small, providing claimed information on their lineages, clans, political divisions, treaties signed and battles fought. Much of it has been proven to be false.
Hello all - This profile is the subject of a G2G discussion about the Mythological profiles on WikiTree. Just stopped by to see if there was anything needing to be done in the short term and made a few edits.
The Shawnee list and book given as a resource is totally inaccurate. Most of the people have no Shawnee connection whatsoever. A Shawnee person would not be a descendant of Powhatan. The Shawnee lived in Ohio and what is now West Virginia. The Powhatan Confederation was located in southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore area.
