It is thought that Alice might be the daughter of George Knight(s) because he and his family came as passengers aboard the ship Diligent in 1638. Perhaps coincidentally, there was a Smith family that came on the same ship from the same county in England, Henry Smith with wife Judith, children John, Henry, Daniel, Judith and Elizabeth.^[3]
