Conaway, 24 September 1880; digital image, West Virginia Archives and History (http://www.wvculture.org/vrr/va_view.aspx?Id=5814053&Type=Death : accessed February 2015). Edmond's death record names his parents (as John C. and Sarah Conaway) and states that he was born in Monongalia County. It also says that he was exactly 59 years of age at his death; most people on the same page of the register had their ages recorded to the month and day, as well, implying that Edmond died on his birthday.
