Biography

Mentioned with her husband in her father's I.P.M. Given as "Elizabeth, daughter of Judge Coningsby".[1]

Mentioned in her father's Will as "my daughter Ferebye" when she received a "ring of gold". Also mentioned in her mother's Will, "To my daughter Elizabeth Fereby and her husband £20 in money, upon condition that her said husband, Thomas Fereby, shall make and deliver a state or feoffment of so much of his lands as shall amount to the yearly value of 40 marks, for my daughter, his wife's jointure, as the said Thomas covenanted and agreed to an with my late husband aforesaid, as it appeareth by indenture dated 4th November 1527. Otherwise the said £20 shall be disposed in deeds of charity."[2]

In the Will of Sir Humphrey Coningsby (d.1535) the Judge (Elizabeth's grandfather), he left "to every daughter of my sons William and John Coningsby, 40 marks each".[3]

Elizabeth and her husband were living in July 1543 when he mother's Will was proved.
