They were Not the parents of Uriah Connor who was born & raised & died in South Carolina.

James Connor & Elizabeth Zimmerman lived in Culpeper Co., until 1766 when they sold all their land. The tract inherited from her father & the tract inherited from his mother, Margaret, (1) Will of Christopher Zimmerman 30 Nov 1748 & Probated 23 Mar 1749 Orange Co. ITEM--I give and bequeath to my daughter, Elizabeth Zimmerman, the remaining part of the Tract of Land whereon I now live, being part of a Patent of four hundred and forty Acres also to her and her heirs forever, also one Bed commonly called "Betty's Bed" with the Furniture, also one oval Table and six black walnut Chairs. (The Zimmerman land was then in Orange Co. fell into Culpeper when it was created & ended up in Madison Co when that county was formed.) Culpeper - 16 Oct 1760..James & Elizabeth Connor sold theb288 a granted to Christopher Zimmerman by patent 25 Aug 1731 which was given by his will to his dau the said Elizabeth on west side of Potato Run.

(2) June 1766 - James Connor sold to Frederick Zimmerman slaves, cattle, hogs, household good, crops on his plantation for £50. (Zimmerman is her brother). 20 Nov 1766 - James & Elizabeth Connor of Culpeper sold 338a to William Allen, line which divides the land he sold previously to Capt John Minor. Rec. Mar 1767. NOTE - This their remaining land which James inherited from his mother, Margaret.

They are next found in North Carolina where James apparently dies. Their 3-4 sons then move to South Carolina to the homes of James Connor's 2 sisters: Sarah (Connor) Ballenger & Hannah (Connor) Wood.
