James Conner was born in ~1827 in Sydney, New South Wales. His parents were Mr James Connor (~1807 - ) and Mrs Elisabeth (Martin) Connor (~1811 - ).^[1]

James married Caroline Bedford (1828 - 1876) on June 18, 1855 in Christ Church, North Adelaide, South Australia, Australia.

My Mother remembered that her g.grandfather had a cabinetmaking business in the City, and that he threw out his small change for the children to collect, when he was drunk. She said Chinese children were prevalent, when collecting the money, too.

James died on September 30, 1884 in Chesser Street, Adelaide, South Australia aged ~57.
