Biography

Born about 1844 in Ireland.

Emigrated to the U.S. and settled in Manchester, NH where he worked in a cotton mill. Married about 1871 Ellen by whom he had one child, a son Michael, b 1872.^[1]

While there are Manchester NH marriages recorded during the time they likely married (about 1871), no record of their marriage is found there.

There is a 1903 Manchester death for a Lawrence M. Connor, b abt 1843 Ireland, watchman, son of Michael Connor and Abbe Bradley.^[2] No wife is named on the record, though, and the name was pretty common.

However, this aligns with the 1900 census where we find a Lawrence M. Connor, b Jan 1845 Ireland, watchman for cotton mill, emigrated 1856, with wife Mary E., b Vermont, and a daughter Gertrude.^[3]
