His marrage records note mother as Margaret. Irish records needed to clarify this matter.

Note: It is assumed that Felix McShane Johnson is brother of Richard because they lived on same property for many years and were both stone masons. Felix was father figure to Richard's children after Richard died in 1865 until Felix death in 1892.

However, Richard's death info shows his father as Richard and mother as Catherine (odd that these match Richard himself and his wife Catherine and we do not know who provided this info as Catherine had recently given birth and was probably not the provider.

Parents for Felix, listed in his marriage records are Michael and Margaret. Since this info was provided by Felix, I would assume it is more trustworthy than info provided at death of Richard.
