Biography

Lula Cook was enumerated as daughter of the head of household in Justice precinct 2 (voting precinct 2), Cherokee County, Texas for the June 18, United States Census, 1900. She was noted as born September 1882 in Mississippi and single as seen in an image of the original census. Also included in the household are head James R Cook, wife Mary Cook, son Emmett Cook, son Lucas Cook and mother Mary Jane Cook.[1]

Miss Lula Cook wed Sam Watters June 2, 1901 in Cherokee County, Texas.[2]

Lula Bell Watters was enumerated as wife of the head of household at Justice Precinct 2, Kerr County, Texas for the May 4, United States Census, 1910. She was noted as born 1882 in Mississippi and had been married nine years. She was the mother of four children of which three were still living as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household are head Samuel J Watters, daughter Tiny Bell Watters, daughter Ella Inez Watters and daughter Ruth Watters.[3]

September 12, 1918 - Center Point, Kerr County, Texas

Lula Watters was enumerated as wife of the head of household at Justice Precinct 2, Kerr County, Texas for the January 10, United States Census, 1920. She was noted as born 1883 in Mississippi and married as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household are head Sam J Watters, daughter Tinybell Watters, daughter Ella I Watters, daughter Ruth Watters and son James W Watters.[4]

Alice L Watters was enumerated as wife of the head of household in San Antonia Street, Precinct 2, Kerr County, Texas for the April 5, United States Census, 1930. She was noted as born 1882 in Mississippi and married as seen in an image of the original census. Also included in the household are head Samuel J Watters, son James W Watters, daughter Mary E Watters, grandson Curtis R Edens and father-in-law James R Watters (Cook).[5]

On April 1, 1935, Lula Waters lived in Kerr County, Texas.[6]

Lula Waters was enumerated as wife of the head of household at First Street, Center Point, Justice Precinct 2, Kerr County, Texas for the May 8, United States Census, 1940. She was noted as born 1883 in Mississippi and married as seen in this image of the original census. Also included in the household are head Samuel J Waters, daughter Mary E Waters and grandson Curtis R Edens.[6]
