Nicholas Cook was born on February 9, 1660 in Weymouth, Norfolk, Massachusetts Bay[1]. His parents were Walter Cooke (~1620 - 1696) and Experience (Unknown) Cook (~1628 - >1662)[2].
His siblings were...
When he was 24, he married Joanna Rocket, daughter of John Rockwood and Joanna Ford, on 04 Nov 1684 in Mendon, Worcester, Massachusetts Bay Colony[3]. When he was 52, after Joannas' death, on December 18, 1712 in Mendon, Worcester, Massachusetts, he married Mehitable Hayward, the widow of Abraham Staples Junior, and the daughter of Samuel Hayward Sr. and Mehitabell Tomson[4].
By 1705 Nicholas owned land east of the Blackstone River, and and on both sides of Peters River in Mendon, Massachusets Colony[5]. Even though they lived in Mendon, the nearby town of Dedham, Norfolk, Massachussets Bay Colony levied a tax on Nicholas and his neighbors, In 1706, he petitioned for, and received relief from those taxes for he and his neighbors[6]. As his influence grew, in 1708 he was chosen as Constable[6]. A few years later, in 1713 Nicholas deeded land in Mendon and partly in Bellingham to his son, Nicholas Jr.[6]. By 1715 his homestead extended from the eastern part of Mendon near Bellingham, to as far as Dumberland, Rhode island[5].)
In 1725, Nicholas Cook filed a petition on behalf of his wife Mehitable, who had been the relict of Abraham Staples regarding the estate of her late husband. Due the small size of the estate and the expenses related to a probate proceeding, Mehitabel had been advised to not file a probate case with the court. In the statement, he states that she was left with three small children when her husband died (namely Mehitabel, the eldest, Mary, and Abraham[7].
When he died at the age of 70 on the 01 Dec 1730 he was living in Bellingham, Norfolk, Massachusetts, and he was buried in Scott Cemetery[8].

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Nicholas by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Nicholas:
There are two wives with the same marriage date and similar names. From my research, this Nicholas was married to Johannah-919.
Joanna Foord-644 was married to John Rocket III-920.
