Biography

Marion was born in 1884 in Alabama. His parents were William Cook and Nancy Britt. By 1900, the family was living in Bienville Parish, Louisiana.[1] They were still there in 1910.[2]

He married Sarah Fannie Stewart in Louisiana. He registered for the WWI draft in 1918 in Bienville Parish, Louisiana, listing Sarah as his nearest relative.[3]

In 1920, they were living in Bienville Parish, Louisiana.[4] By 1940, they were living in Gibsland, Bienville Parish, Louisiana. They had four children (Garland, Newton, Mildred, and Lilly) in the home, as well as his mother-in-law, Sara E Stewart.[5]

In 1942, he registered for the WWII draft.[6]

He passed away in Louisiana in 1959. Burial was in the Fellowship Cemetery in Dubberly, Webster Parish, Louisiana.[7]
