SUSIE LEE COOK BREEDLOVE
Sue was born in Monticello, Georgia to Mary Lucy Elder and James Washington Cook. She was the widow of Robert Allen Breedlove, Sr. and was preceded in death by her husband and son, Robert Allen Breedlove, Jr. The youngest of seven brothers and sisters, she enjoyed the attention of her older siblings. After graduating from Monticello High School, she continued her education at Georgia State College for Women where she received an associates degree, and at the University of Georgia where she earned at BA in Education in 1952. With dedication and enthusiasm, she taught elementary school for forty years. She began in Andersonville, Georgia, continued later in Walton County Public Schools and concluded at George Walton Academy in Monroe, Georgia. She also taught Adult Ladies Sunday School at Center Hill Baptist Church well past her 90th birthday. Following her teaching career, she pursued her interest in health and wellness by volunteering with the Walton County Hospital Auxiliary for 28 years. Her energy, interest in family, friends and community, and desire to go places and see things never waned. Blessed with good health, she continued an active life into her 100th year. A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday at Center Hill Baptist Church. Rev. Marion Prather will officiate. A family interment will be held. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the Music Program at Center Hill Baptist Church, 2940 Gratis Road, Monroe, Georgia 30656 or the charity of your choice. She is survived by her daughter and son in-law, Brenda and Charles Moseley of Atlanta; grandchildren, Susan Moseley George of San Francisco, California; Allen Stockton Moseley of Atlanta; Elizabeth Breedlove Wakefield of Nashville, Tennessee and David Robert Breedlove, Tuscaloosa, Alabama; 10 great-grandchildren, many attentive and caring nieces and nephews and loyal friends and caretaker, Victoria Woods.
