A. Cook heirs and assigns, forever. And we do hereby bind ourselves heirs, executors and administrators, to warrant and forever defend, all and singular, the said premises unto said W. A. Cook heirs assigns, against all persons whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof, but it is expressly agreed and stipulated that the vendor's lien is retained against the above described property, premises and improvements, until the above described notes and all interest thereon are fully paid according to the vendor face and tenor, effect and reading, when this deed shall become absolute.[11]

Cook, 70-year-old Wichita Falls carpenter-contractor and resident here since 1940, who died Thursday afternoon at his home, 1529 Seventeenth, following a heart attack, will be conducted from the First Methodist Church here Saturday at 1:30 p.m. with Dr. Joe Z. Tower, pastor officiating. Pallbearers will be member of the Kay Bible Class of First Methodist Church and burial will be at Graham at 4 p.m. under the direction of Hampton, Vaughan & Merkle Funeral Home. The body is at Hampton, Vaughan & Merkle Funeral Home. Previous to 1940, Cook had lived here for several years starting in 1920. He had resided in Graham and other Young County communities most of his life and resided in Bowie for a short while. He was a native Texan. Survivors include his wife; three sons Atkins Cook of Kermit, Chester Cook, Brawley, Calif., and Worth Cook, Calapetra, Calif.; two daughters, Miss Faye Cook of Wichita Falls and Mrs. Jeff Porter, Beaumont; three brothers, Rev. W. D. Cook, Cleburne, Charles Cook of Graham and Tom Cook, Pampa; and three sisters, Mrs. Ethel Aytes, Los Angeles, Calif., Mrs. Minnie Fallin of Dallas and Mrs. Gus Jones of Seymour. Cook was a member of the First Methodist Church here and a son of the late Rev. S. D. Cook, pioneer North Texas Methodist minister. coronary occlusion. Cause of death. [16][17] Graham Leader. Obit Note: Funeral services for W. A. Cook, 70 years-old Wichita Falls carpenter-contractor were conducted from the First Methodist Church in that city Saturday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. with the pastor Dr. Joe E. Tower officiating. Mr. Cook passed away at his home, 1529 Seventeenth, following a heart attack. He had been a resident of Wichita Falls since 1940, and had been a resident of Graham until he moved away about ten years ago. The body was brought to Graham in the Hampton, Vaughan & Merkle Funeral ambulance where interment was made in Oak Grove cemetery at 4 p.m. assisted by the Morrison Funeral Home of this city. Rev. Joe L. Patterson, pastor of Graham First Methodist Church officiated at the graveside. Pallbearers were members of the Kay Bible class of the First Methodist Church of Wichita Falls. Mr. Cook was a native Texan and was the brother of C. J. Cook of this city, and was widely known in Young County. He was the son of the late Rev. and Mrs. S. D. Cook, pioneer north Texas minister. Survivors include the widow; three sons Atkins Cook of Kermit, Chester Cook, Brawley, Calif., and Worth Cook, Calapetra, Calif.; two daughters, Miss Faye Cook of Wichita Falls and Mrs. Jeff Porter, Beaumont; three brothers, Rev. W. D. Cook, Cleburne, Charles Cook of Graham and Tom Cook, Pampa; and three sisters, Mrs. Ethel Aytes, Los Angeles, Calif., Mrs. Minnie Fallin of Dallas and Mrs. Gus Jones of Seymour.
