Adolphus Andrew COOK was born on 27 Nov 1872 in Cabarrus, North Carolina (NC), United States. He was the son of Valentine Cook and Margaret Maria Barnett.

Between 1900 and 1910, Aldophus and Fannie are living in Rowan, NC, raising 6 children. Adolphus has moved from being a farm laborer to owning his own farm free of mortgage.

Between 1920 and and 1940, Adolphus and Fannie live in two districts in Rowan, Cabarrus, NC, then finally in Kannapolis, Cabarrus, NC. Adolphus has left the farm and become a "dairyman" working on his own account, then a truck driver working for wages in the transfer industry and finally a quiller in the textile industry. He never owns a home again, instead renting. He and Fannie have raised nine children.

Adolphus passed away on 21 Feb 1954 in Charlotte, Mecklenburg, NC at age 81. His usual occupation is given as a Moving Contractor.

He is buried in the Carolina Memorial Park in Concord, Cabarrus County, NC along with his wife and children: Virgil Alexander Cook, James Hoyt Cook, Richard Valentine Cook and Margie Cook Sells.
