Maria Cook was born in August 1857 in Nova Scotia, Canada. She was the daughter of Jacob Cook and Margaret Maker. ^{[1] [2]}

George A Paine and Maria Cooke married on 1 Mar 1881 in Boston, Massachusetts. He was 28 years old at the time and she was 24. George was born around 1853 in Bethel, Maine and he was the son of Jacob L and Mary D Paine. Maria was born around 1857 in Nova Scotia and she was the daughter of Jacob and Margaret Cooke. ^[1]
