Biography
James Henry Cook Born June 12 1880 to Tobias Laird Cook and Margaret Jane Clark. They also had sons; Alexander(Alex; sometimes spelled Aleck), Frank, and Robert(Robt) also one daughter Clara who married William Atkins.
The census searches for James Henry can be tricky. The first census with James Henry is 1900. (he was born 1n 1880 but the census that year was enumerated June 1st a few days before his birth an he was not included) He is listed as "JAS" in the 1900 census and may show birth year as 1870 and his age as 29. The actual micro film of this census will show birth year as 1880. and age as 20 which is in line with actual.
1930 census has him as "Henry Cook" the last available as of now will say "John H Cook"-1940 census I have yet to find a census for them in 1920.
His wife "Betsy Ann Cook", Maiden name "Johnson", is sometimes spelled Betsie as in the 1930 census.
They can be found in Madison County Ar, Bunch OK, Cookson OK, (Marble city OK / Kern CA - 1940 census)
James Henry and Betsy Ann are buried together in Bunch cemetery Bunch, OK. Grave marker reads: James H Cook 6-12-1880 / 2-6-1959 Betsy A Cook 11-29-1889 / 5-24-1969
