Other - Mill Lane, Dovercourt still exists. It is a very narrow lane, about 10 to 12 feet wide from front door to front door. There are only a few original houses left. Most of the houses were knocked down to make back gardens for houses on the parallel roads. The lane starts at the top of the high street and ends at a bridge. The bottom half of the bridge is late Victorian, but the top half is modern. Walking under the bridge leads you to a road with a view over the beach.

Death

John is buried at St Mary the Virgin, Great Ilford.
