I agree. In the last few years it has been so difficult since Ancestry has closed links especially in Cornwall where we used to help each other. I am glad I commenced my family before this happened.

I propose that the daughter Catherine Cooke be removed as a daughter of John Cooke and Alice Saunders. There are no sources that support that she was their daughter. John's Will lists three children Anthony, Beatrix, and Mary. Those are the only children he appears to have had, as he died when they were rather young. If you have sources and can verify that she was their daughter please add them, or post them in a comment so that I can add them. If not she will need to be removed. Thanks, Laura

Cooke-113 and Cooke-5040 appear to represent the same person because: Cooke-5040 is a duplicate of John Cooke-113; the biography for Cooke-5040 has the same father, mother, wife and place/date of death although the shown son, Henry Cooke-5039 is not a son of John Cooke and Alice (Saunders) Cooke and would suggest he should be disconnected from the Cooke of Gidea Hall, Essex family.

Hello! Seems like you have an error in this person's death date, it's before the birth, can you please edit this detail so it wont show in the Database errors list? Thanks!
Can anyone tell me where the Carewe came from; and does it designated cousins or is it just a middle name? Later in the line (as an example) you will see Humphrey Carewe Cooke and Humphrey Cooke born in the same year but are link to different parents.

It is rather sad when you are finally able to find your people and are unable to read the sources or see the pictures because the source is linked to a pay for service like Ancestry.com. Please consider the less wealthy; do not use links to any genealogy website that you must pay before seeing the family source.
