Biography
Glen Innes Examiner (NSW : 1908 - 1954) Thursday 16 July 1942 p 4 Article Obituary PETER COOKE. The death occurred at his home in Emmavilte in the early hours of Monday morning, of Peter Vincent, son of Mrs. M. B, Cookej and the late Mr. J. Cooke, after an illness of two years. Of a very happy disposition, and most popular with all who knew him, Peter, who was aged 13 years and 11 months, bore his illness with great fortitude. Two brothers and three sisters survive. The .brothers are Jack (Newcastle), and Jim (Sydney), and the sisters are Misses Bernice and Francis (Moree) and Patricia (Glen Innis). The funeral took place on Tuesday afternoon to the Roman Catholic portion of the Emmaville cemetery. Rev. Father Maron conducted the service.. School children from the Convent School marched at the head of the cortege.
