Mary was born in 1850[1] She was the daughter of John Cooke Mary Arrowsmith She was christened 3rd March 1850 in Warmingham, Cheshire, England[2]

She was living with her parents and brother Thomas in Warmingham, Cheshire, England in 1851[3]

She married James Whiston 13th October 1869 in Sandbach, Cheshire, England[4]

She was living with her husband and son john in Goodwick, Llanwnda, Pembrokeshire, Wales and she was a Coast Guard's Wife in 1871[5]

She was living with her husband and children at Vicarage Road, St Agnes, Cornwall, England and she was still a Coast Guard's Wife in 1881[6]

She was still living with family at Goodwick, Pembrokeshire in 1891[7]

She was living with her husband and 5 of her children at Cymmer Street, St Mary, Glamorganshire, Wales in 1901[8]

She was widowed in 1905 and living with her son, daughter, son in law and grandson in Cardiff, Glamorganshire, Wales in 1911[9]

she passed away on 21 November 1921 in Cardiff, Glamorganshire, Wales[10]
