There is an issue with the father of Elizabeth that requires resolution prior to merging. William Cooke states born 1640, in the Province of Pennsylvania, which didn't exist in 1640. Sourced to an ancestry family tree. The father listed to the other Elizabeth, William Cooke, states born 1650 in Yorkshire, but with no source. Does anyone have any real facts regarding her parents? On the John Gregg profile it suggests her family were originally English but not when they emigrated.

Cooke-2593 and Cooke-1390 appear to represent the same person because: Same father, same birth place and date, same marriage. The only thing which is not exactly the same is the death information, and both profiles are marked "uncertain" on this.

If you agree these 2 profiles represent the same person, please approve the merge. Thanks!

Cooke-2593 and Cooke-1390 do not represent the same person because: not all the same info

Cooke-2593 and Cooke-1390 appear to represent the same person because: Cooke-1390 appears to be the lowest numbered profile with the correct spelling of the last name at birth. Therefore it is the TARGET profile for all duplicates. Please complete the merges in the direction set, as INTO Cooke-1390

Thanks!

either birth or marriage information is wrong - if she's the wife of John who survived the family massacre in Ireland, she would've been 17 with 5 children (and pretty sure she wouldn't have travelled from PA to Ireland or Scotland to be married at 11)

I'm researching this connection also. I don't think this is the same Elizabeth (Cooke) Gregg that you're referring to. The Elizabeth you're might be the one that married John Thomas Gregg. John Thomas Gregg (1660-1689) father was Capt. David Greg (1630-1689). These two were noted in being in the Battle of Londonderry (aka Siege of Derry). Capt. David Greg was listed as commander in Oliver Cromwell's army, but official records do not support this.

So, in the last 10 years, have you found anything new? :) (crossing fingers)
