Biography

Damaris Cooke (twin of John Cooke) was born 23 May 1703 at Kingston,[1] Plymouth, Massachusetts. She was the daughter of Jacob Cooke and Lydia Miller. Damaris married John Delano at Kingston, Plymouth on 15 Nov 1749.[2] John was born 11 Oct 1699 at Duxbury, Massachusetts, and died between 16 Nov 1774 and 5 Aug 1766. Damaris died after 16 Nov 1749.[3]

Damaris is mentioned in her father, Jacob Cooke's will. "Jacob Cooke of Kingston yeoman" made his will 16 October, 1728. Bequest to Damaris was as follows:[4]

To "my Daughter Damaris one of my Best Beds With all The Furniture Belonging To it allso Two Cows or the Value of Them In money allso The Liberty To use and Improve one Room In my Dwelling Tlouse So long as She Shall Remain unmarried."
To "my Four Daughters Lydia Rebeckah margaret and Damaris Their Heirs and assigns forever To Be Equally Divided Between Them my lott of Land which I Bought of Joseph King lying Near agawam In the Township of Plimouth Together with all the Remainder of my moveable Estate after my Just Debts and Funerall Charges are first paid"

Cooke-2685 and Cooke-1725 appear to represent the same person because: All of the info matches up, except death dates. Need to determine which is correct then merge. Thanks
