Brenda: here's some information about Sarah Hail(e) - there's no evidence that her name was ever hyphenated, although I have seen several instances of a middle name Ward. Here's the will of her father, Richard Hail: http://archiver.rootsweb.ancestry.com/th/read/HATCHER/2000-06/0960736681

Hi, Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, here are a few more features you may find useful

Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including tips on writing biographies.

If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.

Lastly, sometimes you will run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask via my profile page. Sandy ~ WikiTree Mentor

Welcome Brena,

You are now a confirmed member of WikiTree! Thank you for volunteering.

Wow!!! You're the 2,010th Cooley to join Wikitree! With that many Cooley's here I'm just betting there are some 'cousins' already profiled. I'm looking forward to reading about your ancestors.

Have fun and ask for help if you need it! WikiTree members are always eager to offer guidance to a fellow genealogist. If you need additional help, our Mentors Project is a friendly bunch of volunteers who will be glad to assist you with WikiTree-specific problems.

See you in the branches --

Deborah Greeter from Georgia USA

I would love to fill in the information I have into the family tree. I am also interested in seeing what information other people have found that fits in my tree.

Thank you so much for uploading a GEDCOM.

Our GEDCOM process is a bit different than what might be used to on other sites. We have some great help pages to make your experience go more smoothly:

Upload vs Import What is GEDCompare Before Importing a GEDCOM After importing a GEDCOM

If you have any questions about your GEDCOM or our process, you can contact our GEDCOM Manager for assistance.

Again, Thanks so much for heling to grow the Wikitree!

Deborah, Volunteer Greeter (Georgia USA)

Welcome to the Wikitree Family, Brenda!

The initial email from us has helpful links that will get you started on WikiTree, which is not like any genealogy site you’ve ever used.

WikiTree is different because our goal is to have one profile per person, and that means we all work together as a BIG collaborative team!

What brings you to WikiTree? Research you’d like to share? Interested in how your family fits into the big tree?

  • When you confirm your email address, you’ll see a Volunteer option on your profile page. Click that and leave us a short message about your genealogical interests. A Greeters Project volunteer will be happy to confirm your membership, and you’ll be on your way!

We’re really glad you’re here.

Deborah, Greeter (from Georgia USA)
